BACKGROUND
In a market dominated by long-established delivery brands, J&T, an Indonesian delivery company, entered as the newcomer.
The challenge wasn’t just getting noticed, it was becoming memorable in a category already crowded with familiarity.
CREATIVE SOLUTION
Based on a highly relevant insight to the Vietnamese people, where red symbolizes luck, prosperity and good business, we want to show that J&T not only deliver with care, but also with luck.
From that insight J&T Lucky Cat, inspired by the familiar maneki-neko, reimagined as a symbol of fortune for online sellers and SMBs. More than just a character, it became a visual shorthand for a delivery partner that brings not only parcels, but the possibility of better business.
KICK-OFF
A catchy song comes with a catchy meow-meow teaser
LAUNCHING
During the launch phase, J&T introduced limited-edition packing tapes featuring the Lucky Cat alongside wishes such as “The redder it gets, the luckier it gets” and “Where there’s will, there’s luck in red.” The tapes turn everyday packaging into a recognizable campaign asset.
As sellers began sharing their parcels online, the tapes helped spark curiosity around the Lucky Cat concept while naturally promoting J&T’s customer service and delivery presence.

Not only that, J&T transformed its shipper into a moving symbol of lucks. By adding a small pair of cat ears to their helmet, every shippers had became a lucky cat.
With one small detail, every delivery felt more recognizable, playful and more memorable.
